About Invest by Design
NARC has signed a partnership with Invest by Design to provide a turnkey program for COGS to
create their own GASB 45 solutions and offer them to their members.
One of the major reasons NARC chosen Invest by Design as a partner lies in how they differ in a regulatory sense from others in the marketplace. They are not a broker, a dealer, or an insurance agency. They are an investment adviser, registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. This has important consequences that make them a valuable adviser to your program:
- They do not sell investment products. They can work with any investment provider you choose, including local bankers, brokers and representatives.
- They are compensated by you only. They have no conflicts of interest in helping you choose the best investments and arranging the best pricing for your programs.
- They are a fiduciary. Invest by Design is required by statute to put your interests above theirs. This is very different from brokers, dealers, insurance providers, and others, who can put their interests first. Invest by Design cannot.
